User-controlled wallets with trading-account execution
TKM Exchange User Guide
TKM Exchange lets users keep control of their saved wallet addresses while moving only the amount they choose into a trading balance for active orders.
1. Secure Your Account
Create an account with a strong password, then enable 2FA from the Security tab. Your account tracks saved wallet addresses, trading balances, open orders, and transaction history.
Your exchange password is separate from any wallet keyfile password. When a keyfile is used, the wallet password unlocks the keyfile only for signing the requested transaction.
2. Save Wallet Addresses
Each listed asset should have a saved user wallet address. Deposits are prepared from that address, and completed-trade proceeds are routed to the saved address for the asset you receive.
TKM requires the shield2 payment-code format. Older TKM address formats are rejected to keep settlement behavior consistent with the current chain rules.
3. Fund Your Trading Balance
Choose an asset, enter the amount, and create a deposit intent. The page shows the source wallet, the trading settlement address, and the amount before signing.
For TKM, the trading account is the configured shield2 settlement payment code. The chain transaction is sent through the shielded pool contract, so the technical target can appear as the pool contract while the settlement recipient remains the shield2 trading account.
4. Place Orders
Buy orders reserve the quote asset, such as USDT. Sell orders reserve the base asset, such as TKM. Only the amount needed for the order is locked.
When a trade fills, the asset you sold is consumed from the locked trading balance. The asset you receive is prepared for payout to your saved wallet address for that asset.
Example: if you sell 10 TKM for 1 USDT and another user buys it, the 10 TKM leaves your locked trading balance and the 1 USDT is marked for payout to your saved USDT wallet address.
5. Review Pending Transactions
The Wallet tab shows pending deposits, submitted transactions, and payout records. Use the available action buttons to open the wallet, check a submitted deposit, or refresh the transaction history.
6. Security Rules
- Deposit source must match the user wallet address saved for that asset.
- Deposit destination must match the configured trading settlement address.
- TKM deposits require shield2 addresses and cannot use the user address as settlement.
- Trading balances are credited only after transaction verification and confirmations.
- Trade proceeds are routed to the user wallet payout flow instead of silently becoming new trading balance.
Why This Model Is Stronger
TKM Exchange reduces unnecessary custody by separating user wallets from trading balances. Users deposit only the amount they intend to trade, and completed-trade proceeds are routed toward the saved wallet address for the asset received.
The exchange also supports TKM's shield2 privacy model, strict source-address checks, confirmation-based deposits, 2FA account protection, and clear transaction intent displays. The result is a more transparent trading flow with stronger user control than the typical fully custodial exchange account model.
